Our Retired Newfoundlands are of champion bloodlines and from Planhaven, Australia and Ali’i Shores, Kaneohe. Yes, the original Nanny from Peter Pan was a Landseer Newfoundland.

These dogs are very loving and demand a loyal human. Ours are excellent at finding leaks in the farm’s irrigation system and “rescuing” a weary farmer after a hard day’s work in the fields. With their long body and webbed toes, they are naturally built for swimming and glide rather than dog paddle in the water. The trip to the beach is the highlight of their week. While not known for being guard dogs, when you form a strong bond with your Newfoundland, I have no doubt he would protect you at all costs. Ours don’t bark much, but when they do, you pay attention.
